【Effective September 1, 2025】Notice of Osaka Prefecture Accommodation Tax Revision

Starting September 1, 2025, the Osaka Prefectural Ordinance on Accommodation Tax will be revised, changing the tax exemption threshold and rate structure.
Please note that the new tax rates will apply to all stays on or after Monday, September 1, 2025, regardless of the booking date or payment date.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

●Current Rates [Until August 31, 2025]
・Less than ¥7,000: No tax
・¥7,000 to less than ¥15,000: ¥100
・¥15,000 to less than ¥20,000: ¥200
・¥20,000 or more: ¥300

●New Rates [From September 1, 2025]
・Less than ¥5,000: No tax
・¥5,000 to less than ¥15,000: ¥200
・¥15,000 to less than ¥20,000: ¥400
・¥20,000 or more: ¥500

■Items Included in the Taxable Accommodation Fee
・Room charge without meals
・Service charges on room rates

■Items Not Subject to Tax
・Consumption tax and similar charges
・Fees for services other than accommodation
(e.g., meals, meeting rooms, banquets, laundry, phone calls, parking, etc.)
